If you need to cancel or re-schedule, there will be no penalty if you cancel a minimum of one week before your booking date. No shows and cancallations made within one week of your program or less than one week’s notice, a $50 administration fee will be applied. With less than two business days' notice, you will be charged the full fee for your booking.

Tsleil-Waututh Seasonal Activities

Co-created by the Tsleil-Waututh Nation and the Museum of Vancouver, this Kit offers students a unique opportunity to explore environmental stewardship through the lens of Tsleil-Waututh Traditional Knowledge. The Kit highlights the Tsleil-Waututh Seasonal Round and sustainable land and water practices. Students will gain insight into how Coastal Nations have long managed natural resources for the benefit of future generations.

That Which Sustains Us

Through place-based learning, students learn about Traditional Ecological Knowledge relating to plants used by the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh. While listening to the traditional plant names in hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Skwxwú7mesh sníchim, students are invited to reflect on how they relate and engage with nature, the importance of a healthy ecosystem, and the interconnectedness between people, place, and animals. Students examine how the landscape has changed overtime due to the impacts of colonization, deforestation, and global warming, and our collective action towards a kinder and more sustainable future.

Animating History

Work with professional animators to storyboard a plot, create and animate characters, and add dialogue and sound effects. Students complete a one to two-minute animated story by the end of the day. Stories include Vancouver Fire, 1907 Anti-Asian Riots, Skwachays - The Great Seal Hunt and Japanese Canadian Internment. Presented in partnership by Reel 2 Real with the Museum of Vancouver.
