(Grades 2-5) Examine different types of pollutants an where they come from, and evaluate how individual actions contribute to the health of the river.

This program is divided into:

• Introduction to the Centre, Program and Rules (5 minutes)
• PowerPoint Presentation (10 minutes)
• Activities (25 minutes each)
  • Swim Like Fin board game.
  • Examine how plastic pollution affects the birds around the Fraser River Basin.
• Video: Journey of the Blob (10 minutes)
• Conclusion (5 minutes)

Students discuss different water sources and use a 3D model to discover the connection between people and water pollution while learning how to minimize their impact. LEPS workshops take place in YOUR CLASSROOM in LANGLEY, ABBOTSFORD or SURREY school districts.
